Manju's pongal

Khara pongal :

 1 cup rice
1/2 cup moong
4 cups water with katti hing cook 2 whistles

Then heat lots of ghee, oil.. add Pepper, jeera, greenchillis, ginger, curry leaves.






Sakkara pongal :


2 rice
3/4 moong
800 gm vellam
5 cup water
2 cup milk
2 whistle

Water just enuf to cover vellam
Pinch of nutmeg pd and cardamom
